Many people throw away watermelon seeds simply because they think only of its juice. The fact is there are so many benefits of the seeds as they are full of nutrients such as vitamins and minerals. A handful of watermelon seeds contain 10 grams of protein which is an equal amount found in a similar quantity of yogurt.

The dried and roasted are not only full of nutritional ingredients but they are tasty too. Because many people don’t know this, they simply eat the flesh and throw away the seeds.

Among other nutrients watermelon seed contains the following

Simply crush the seeds and pour hot water over it in a cup. Leave the seed to simmer in the hot water for around 10 minutes. Add honey if you like and drink.
