Health conscious people have gone organic to avoid toxins that can be found in products that have been sprayed with pesticides, fertilized using by-products of petroleum, or those that have been genetically modified. When these people shop for food, they select food items with the markings “organic.”   Of course, these products cost higher than the unlabeled ones and if you have eight mouths to feed like me, always looking for organic fruits, vegetables, meat, grains, and dairy products can be financially draining.

To save myself from spending on organic foods, I made a list of products that I can buy even without the organic label and I found that the difference in price can come up to several dollars if I shop weekly. Here are the foods that are safe to eat even without making sure that they are organically produced.
